Picco de gallo
Pico de gallo is a salad that adds color and texture to dishes, along with flavor.
- 30 g serrano chili pepper (replace with 60 g green or yellow bell pepper, if you do not like spicy)
- 100 g tomatoes
- 40 g yellow onion
- 1/2 lime or lemon - juice
- 1/4 tsp chili flakes if you don't have or can't find fresh chili - optional
- 1/4 tsp coarse salt
- parsley or coriander leaves optional
Prepare the ingredients.
Cube the vegetables.
Add salt, chili flakes (if using), parsley or coriander, and lime/lemon juice, gradually.
Mix and serve with guacamole and tortilla chips.
